About Us

Thank you for stopping by! This blog is our attempt to document our experiences as Puppy Raisers for Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc. Our goal is to take a 9 week old loveable bundle of puppy fluff and raise it to be a happy, well socialized and confident dog by the time (s)he is returned to the Southeastern Guide Dog campus to begin advanced harness training (at approximately 14 – 16 months of age). We hope the puppy we raise will someday provide independence, mobility and freedom to a blind or visually impaired individual. Because the views, opinions and experiences shared here are unique to us, these blog entries may not accurately represent the typical puppy raising experience. Our blog is not affiliated with or endorsed by Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc.
